  • Watch funny movies or shows, laughing is good medicine
  • Do something nice for someone that can’t give back or isn’t expecting anything
  • If you end up getting upset at any point during your family get together, take a breather, go to the washroom, take a few breaths or go outside for fresh air
  • Try keeping in mind this is your family, life is short
  • Try smiling more, smiling is contagious
  • Dress yourself up nicely, spend time on yourself this can boost your self esteem which in return can make you feel better overall which then will show in your attitude
  • Don’t stay overly long for your visit if you truly gave everything time and an honest try
